It's a very exciting time for all you film lovers out there!
Filmsteps is for 7 to 16yrs and if you have ever wondered how your favorite films or television programmes are made then why not become a member of the Filmsteps crew here in the heart of Maidstone, learn about all the different aspects of filmmaking and make your own film and TV programmes!
We meet every Saturday Morning from 11am-1pm during term time at the Valley Park Community School, ME14 5DT and new crew members are always welcome.
You do not need any experience in filmmaking to be part of our young 'Film Crews'. Just lots of team spirit and be prepared to have lots of fun!!

SUMMER SCHOOL 2010 (16TH Aug- 20th Aug)

Why not do something very different with a week of your summer holidays this year!
Our young crews (7 to 16yrs) will spend 5 days making their own mini feature films. We then screen all the films at the Maidstone Odeon in the autumn at one of our special Filmsteps Premieres - truly glittering red carpet affairs to which our crews can invite friends and family.
This years summer school also includes a STUNT WORKSHOP! So will you be making a spy movie or Harry Potter style movie? It is up to you! Plus we are able to visit the Film Room at the Maidstone Odeon just before your film is premiered! How cool is that!
Your films will also be shown on Filmsteps TV and you can send the link to all your friends at school!

OCTOBER HALF TERM WORKSHOP + SFX MAKE UP (25th Oct to 28th Oct)
Join our film crews as they take on this years Halloween Challenge. Master disappearing shots, simple special effects creating your own mystery movie short. Will you rise to the challenge?

EASTER ANIMATION COURSE (11th - 13th April 2011)
Our two day Stop Motion Animation Course is back by very popular demand! Create your very own short with a professional Animator.
