Filmsteps was founded in 2007.
Over the last few years, we have welcomed literally thousands of children through our doors. Our young crews have had a great deal of fun making everything from films to adverts, animations, news reports, pop videos and much more. They have learnt about special effects, stunts, make up. They have walked the red carpet and taken part in award ceremonies. They have attended press screenings and other special events. Above all they have had the opportunity to express themselves, to be creative and to understand the importance of working as a team. We are immensely proud of our Filmsteps crews and delighted that many of our very first Filmsteps students are still with us today.
Whichever way we turn we are confronted with moving images through Film, Television, Internet and even our mobile phones. These are all used to entertain but also to inform and to educate and are inescapably part of everyday life no matter which path in life you tread. Our aim is to encourage our crews to take ownership, to enjoy and to give everyone a voice.
All our staff are recruited from the film and television and / or teaching industries and between them have an impressive list of credits as Directors, Animators, Fight directors, Actors, Editors combined with considerable experience of working with children.
The welfare of our students is of utmost importance to us. All our staff are CRB checked, we have strict Child Protection Guidelines in place and a high staff to student ratio. Our Head Office is in London and we are always happy to answer any queries you may have.
